One of the most important things that you have to consider on purchasing your sex toy is how to keep them clean and safe to use. Cleanliness is especially important if you intend to use them with more than one partner or on/in different parts of the body.As sex toys come in many different materials, one method may not necessarily apply to all toys. It will also depend on whether the toy is battery or electrically powered.

Most toys will come with special cleaning instructions, so do follow these in addition to the tips given here. Simple rules to follow are: Don't submerge the part of the toy that holds the battery in water. Remove batteries before cleaning and leave them out if the toy isn't to be used for long periods of time.

Oil products destroy latex. Use only water based products. Don't immerse electrical sex toys in water. Here are the different materials used to manufacture sex toys and the best method for cleaning each one:

For Electrical Toys
As these toys cannot be immersed in water, they should be cleaned using a damp, soapy cloth preferably an antibacterial soap and then allowed to dry in the sir. Store in a clean, dry place.
